March Worm Moon Release & Renewal Ritual
Worm Moon Release & Renewal Ritual
March Full Moon
The March Full Moon, known as the Worm Moon, marks the transition between winter’s stillness and spring’s awakening. As the frozen earth begins to thaw, life quietly stirs beneath the surface long before growth becomes visible.
This moon symbolizes release, renewal, and gentle transformation.
Full moons illuminate what has been hidden. Emotions rise, truths become clearer, and stagnant energy asks to be released. Just as soil must soften before seeds can grow, we are invited to let go of what we have been carrying so new beginnings can take root.
The Worm Moon reminds us that healing often happens quietly. Beneath the surface preparing us for what is ready to bloom.
Reflection & Journaling
Take a few moments to reflect honestly and without judgment:
What feels heavy or complete in this season of my life?
What am I ready to release emotionally, mentally, or energetically?
What patterns or beliefs no longer support who I am becoming?
What has this past season taught me?
What part of me is quietly awakening right now?
What intention do I want to plant for the next chapter?
Full Moon Release Ritual
1. Create Your Space
Find a quiet place. Light a candle if you wish and take a few slow breaths.
2. Write & Acknowledge
Write down what you are ready to release. Hold the paper and acknowledge what you have carried.
🌕 Words to Speak to the Moon
(Say aloud or silently)
"Under this full moon, I honor what has shaped me and release what no longer serves my growth. As the earth softens and renews, I allow myself to do the same.
I release this with gratitude and make space for what is meant for me."
3. Burn & Release
Safely burn the paper. Watch the smoke rise and imagine the energy leaving your body and returning to the universe.
4. Return to the Earth
Once cooled, return the ashes to the earth; outside, in soil, or carried by the wind allowing nature to transform what you have released.
Closing: Gratitude to the Moon
Place one hand over your heart and take three slow breaths.
Say:
"Moon above, thank you for your light, your guidance, and your reflection.
Thank you for helping me release what I no longer need to carry.
As you continue your cycle, I continue mine lighter, clearer, and open to renewal."
Remember
Healing does not always happen loudly. Like the earth beneath the Worm Moon, transformation often begins unseen and that is enough.
